The Italian Job
BACI 2013 Back in January this year I was approached by Pioneer Europe and asked the head the decor for BACI. Over previous years this decor had been designed and installed by the teachers but with their heavy work load and total commitment to training it’s one of those jobs that gets done at the last minute and causes stress to those involved, but this year was to be different as I was to head a team of volunteers to create some real impact decor…THE WOW FACTOR was about to...

Air Filled Balloon Arches Ikea Coventry used the power of visual balloon arches to kick start their Kitchen and Bedroom Easter promotion. The arches were installed at the entrance to each zone adding drama and excitement. All the arches were air filled. Qualatex balloons were down sized for the main body of the arch using 11″ standard latex sized to 7″ and the larger balloons at the base were 16″ sized to 11″. This will held keep the arches looking good as they need to...

All Air Filled Decor My clients brief was create something that will knock their client for 6 when they enter the room. The theme for the conference was Blue Skies and all they had for the awards event in the evening was blue LED up-lighters so with that in mind I set about creating the WOW factor. Fluffy white clouds, giant foil suns and butterflies came to mind and no I had not been smoking anything. Then the client said she would like some planes in the design and sent me a picture of a...

BACI, Florence, Italy 2013 So last year was awesome and who would think you could top what happened to me, suspended a bloke in a shopping centre with 8ft Chloroprene balloon for a week, shipped off to Macedonia to help with the TV programme “Idiot Abroad” and then a double spread in IMAGES magazine, WOW, what a year. Hi Matt, Gratitude is a quality which sadly lacks in todays very self centred and cynical world. So, just to show that I at least hold old fashioned values, I would like to publicly thank you. Firstly, thank you for giving Balloon A Loony the opportunity to help you with the building of one of the various Virgin archways in July, ours was in Falkirk. I fully understand that payment for these jobs can take some time to come through from the corporate clients involved, so waiting a few...
