The Grand Balloon Tour 2018. Were you part of it?

The Tour

Between the 5th-12th August Stuart Davies and Myself toured the UK from Essex to Glasgow delivering The Grand Balloon Tour, The Art of Organic.

The concept was born whilst we were both teaching at WBC in San Diego earlier in the year and we decided it was not going to be your usual tour. It would be about the business side of Organic and how to align your business to sell this high-profile decor. What you need to know, how to find all the components, how to job cost it and how it breaks all the rules that have been drilled into you over that past few decades. We would show you how to incorporate the elements and principles of design and how to critique your work.

So who did what.

My role in the The Grand Balloon Tour was to get the ball rolling. I had to design the poster, do all the advertising, liaise with all the venues, sort out logistics, book hotels at the best possible rates, organise the stock, take in all the bookings, issue receipts and have a plan B should anything go wrong. Glad to say nothing went wrong. (Well not that anyone of you would have noticed anyway). Whilst I was doing all the above Stu was working on the presentation of the tour. He was using his business and development skills to deliver what can only be described as one of the best Power Point presentations I have seen for a long time. Educational, Informative, Creative and full of Humour.

During the course in Manchester on the 8th August we had the most amazing opportunity to photograph the Demi Arch outside the Church.

All in all over 77 delegates turn up at 5 locations throughout the country and left with the ability and understanding of how to deliver, price and align their business to sell organic style decor

So, what next?

Before the tour was over we were approached by IPS in Dublin and asked if we would bring the tour over to Ireland. The answer was yes and we hit the Emerald Isle on Tuesday 23rd October

Dublin her we come.
