Spring Fair 2016…is it worth the cost!

Exhibiting at the Spring Fair

Once again I have decided to exhibit at the Spring Fair which is held in February every year at the  NEC just outside Birmingham , UK. It’s the worlds biggest trade show and covers all 22 halls but it comes at a cost to exhibitors.

The show is free to visit as long as you are trade, FREE parking, FREE transfer from the carparks to the main Plaza entrance, Free hand book and you can visit every hall if you want. The cost for this is meet buy the exhibitors and sponsors and its no cheap. For example my stand which will be in hall 3 cost £375 per square meter, I have a stand which is 6m x 1m and comprises of a shell scheme and carpet. If I want lighting that will cost £90 per strip light, electrical socket with hook up will cost £80 per  single socket. If you want a bit of furniture then that will cost a few £100 so I’m going to supply my own, a nice leather sofa, a couple of nice high stools and a poser table so feel free to pop along and check it out and put your feet up for a few minutes and don’t worry, I wont charge you.

But the costs do not stop there so lets look at other costs, costs you may not have considered. Let look at the Qualatex Stand, always impressive, beautifully decorated and alway busy. Apart from the floor space and the stand  build its self there are may other costs. The new Qualatex catalogue, free to everyone and very resourceful. What about the staff, they need to be paid, they need to travel to and from the site each day, the hotel costs for the overnight accommodation, food and drink for all, the first class trainers who demonstrate the products during the 5 day show. It all adds up so the best way to look at is it this, what every the stand and floor space cost multiply it by 3 and it will give you an indication as to the over all cost and then add a bit more.

So in comparison my little stand in cheap, I live 10 miles down the road so I can travel home every day, I have to produce a new price list and decorate the stand so thats another cost as well but the show is so worth every penny. It puts you in direct contact with your clients, it lets you show off new products, its about speaking to new customers and building long lasting relationships. Its about BUSINESS.

As always we will be advertising our balloon printing services, a service which I am very proud of. We print on Qualatex latex and foils and are one of the only companies in the UK who can print on 3ft latex, 4ft and 5.5ft Chloroprenes, but your need something new. This years we will be showing our new range of Special Occasion Foils. We have 3 new designs for weddings, Mr & Mrs, Mr & Mr and Mrs & Mrs and I have a funny feeling these are going to me very popular.
